About Me
My name is Bridgette Miller. I am a mom of two kids, ages 11 and 14, and a puppy, Ruby. I am passionate about helping children and families. I draw on my own experiences as well as my education to provide a comprehensive approach to working with children and families in the therapeutic setting.
My initial education with children started at Indiana University, where I graduated with a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I pursed a focus in child neglect and school systems and a minor in business.
My early work with children began when I got my Early Childhood Special Education Degree from Edgewood College and began working at Head Start. During my time at Head Start, I became aware of the increasing need for mental health services for children and families. This led me to attend the Infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental Health Capstone Certificate Program at the University of Wisconsin.
I used my knowledge of mental health and working at Birth to Three with babies with special needs for 14 years while I raised my own children. When I decided that I needed more education around mental health, I obtained my Master’s in counseling. That led me to do in-home mental health therapy, supporting families in rural areas in Wisconsin.
A short time later, I began working in clinical settings in Madison where my clients were children and families with significant needs.

In 2022, I opened a private practice where I could help clients in a personal, customized setting. I enjoy working with a wide variety of children and families.
